We had a wonderful Easter here in Hawaii. While everyone else is experiencing there first bits of Spring we are enjoying our never-ending summer. After church we took family pictures in the front yard. We tried to make it look like Matthew was hunting and finding eggs so we placed him in the grass as well as a tree. This was his first experience with both. Matthew had no desire in trying to reach for the egg I placed in the grass. Why in the world would he? He barely had to move at all in order to grab two large fist fulls of grass or feel the bumpy bark of the tree. Ailona and I had a lot of fun taking pictures with Matthew. Both of us are usually behind the camera instead; one taking the pictures while the other makes faces.

Matthew had his 3 month appointment on February 23, 2008. This is a picture of him with Dr. Lori Kimata. She is a Naturopathic Doctor who practices midwifery and pediatrics. She is absolutely fabulous! She was my midwife during my pregnancy and the birth. (I had Matthew at home in a birthing tub. Any questions, just ask.) I love that she is also Matthew's Doctor. The following is an update on Matthew's growth:
Weight 15 lbs
Length 25 in
Head Circumference 16 in
Just a reminder of his birth stats: Weight 8.2 lbs, Length 21 in, Head 14 in. I can't believe how much he has grown in such a short amount of time. Way to go baby boy! -Leilani
p.s. Matthew is wearing the cutest onesie given to him by his Auntie Amy and Uncle Jon. It says "lil cowboy" on it.
