Dippin our toes

Never been a big fan of cold weather, so its been a rough month or so. (That and we all got sick with some yucky virus) But one nice thing about Texas is that winter doesn't last very long. Today the sun was out and a beautiful 75 degrees outside and on our afternoon walk we decided to dip our feet in the pool. Not realizing the water hasn't had enough time to warm up yet, we stuck our feet in the freezing cold water. Matthew had a blast kicking and splashing and even wanted to jump all the way in. He's a nut! You can see the fun in the video below. I didn't feel like editing so its a wonderful 8 minutes of fun.

New years

We still can't believe 2009 is over and we are starting a brand new year. Who knows what kinda surprises lay ahead for us in 2010, and i cant wait to find out!

We had a fun New years eve with the Weissman's, who is one of the families that Lei tutors for. They live out in Bridgeland and they had a great time with them. Fireworks are prohibited in their neighborhood but one of their neighbors across the pond didn't care and blasted of a ton of big aerials that made for a great show. Matthew was in bed by about 10 and me and lei stayed up and watch the New years eve shows and the fireworks from our window.

Today we took it pretty easy, spent some time enjoying the beautiful clear skies. Matthew got to play with some Poppers and finally got another try on his skuut bike. He's still figuring out the balancing part and still would rather me push him but i think he's getting the hang of it.
