One Tooth, Two Teeth

Matthew now has two bottom teeth. It's definitely been an adjustment for all of us around here. It now hurts when he bites your finger, nose, etc. The first tooth poked through the gums on June 12 and the second just 5 days later on June 17. He was quite the fussy guy as they were coming in. Thankfully we found a wonderful all natural Homeopathic teething gel that worked like magic, so we didn't lose too many nights sleep. Seriously, this stuff rocks! His gums/teeth would mainly bother him at night. He would pretty much refuse to eat and if he did happen to fall asleep it was only for mere minutes. He just couldn't stay asleep. A dab of this stuff and he was fast asleep within 15 minutes.

This is the only picture I have so far. It was taken a week ago. I felt bad as I took it, but the only way to see his teeth is when he is either crying or laughing. It is much harder to get a picture of him laughing. He tends to stop as soon as the camera comes out, unless there is someone else there to distract him from seeing it. So, here's a picture of his two teeth as well as a picture of him crying. I can hear his frustration every time I look at it. I'm guessing the top two teeth will be next?

Hooray teeth! It's sort of sad to see them, though, because they never have that gummy little smile again!

Yay for Matthew! So cute!!

We're still teething over here. It's not fun when you get to the molars :( Poor things - I feel so bad when they are in pain.

Ok, for those of you who couldn't see the picture-it should be working now. Let me know if it still isn't.

I bought the teething gel at a Natural Foods store here in Hawaii. There are 2 places on the mainland that I'm pretty sure you could find it; Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe.

Wow, he's a big boy with teeth. You can also try the teething tabs. They dissolve super fast and taste like vanilla. You can find the gel or tabs at Walmart too. I believe it's cheaper there compared to the health food store.

poor guy. Hylands teething tablets seemed to work on my girls until they started cutting molars...then nothing really helped. Glad that the gel worked for him. Teething is not fun for anyone involved!!

Wow, he is growing up. I love his cheeks and hair. How fun to have teeth. He looks like a happy baby in all the other pictures! Hope the top teeth feel better than the bottom ones. I think the first ones are hard because they don't know what's happening. My first daughter Tina didn't get any until after her 1st birthday! The others were pretty normal.
